Job Responsibilities
- Possess experience and capability to independently handle banking matters and import-export documentation related to Letter of Credit (L/C), Documents against Payment (DP), Documents against Acceptance (DA), Cash Against Documents (CAD).
- Capable of compiling, maintaining and providing import-export-related banking documents concerning L/C, Telegraphic Transfer (TT), Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and Foreign Demand Draft (FDD).
- Independently prepare and submit required import-export documents, including LC, DP, DA, CAD, LCA, UP, UD, EXP, CI, PL, SC, BL, CO, Bill of Entry, Bill of Export and other documents.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of shipping, import-export and customs documents.
- Perform job-related work and permission applications for BIDA, BTMC, CCI&E, NBR, EPB and relevant corporations as required. Conduct field visits and collect required data & documents as per supervisor’s instruction.
- Have experience in applying for new Customs Bond License for the company and assisting for Bond License Renewal; ensure all necessary permits, licenses and certification documents are complete and valid.
- Prepare and submit documents for customs audit; manage bonded warehouse, Bond certificate and all bond-related activities. Safely keep detailed records of all customs transactions & clearance procedures and all documents pertaining to responsibilities.
- Maintain verbal and e-mail correspondence & communication with port authorities, shipping parties, Customs, Banks, C&F agents and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate and expedite import-export operational workflows.
- Regularly update the operation team on shipment and customs clearance progress; resolve on-site unexpected issues including valuation disputes, tariff adjustments and various other challenges.
- Conduct operations regarding HS Code, Customs Act, Import Policy, Export Policy, Bond formalities and other applicable laws & regulations for import & export. Must have desire and interest to learn knowledge of HS Codes under Bangladesh Customs Act. Keep close track of Bangladesh customs regulations, tariff policies and duty-rate structures to ensure all goods comply with import-export restrictions and trade policy requirements.
- Prepare necessary statements and reports in line with management’s requirements. Able to perform any other work assigned by management; escalate unsolvable issues to senior management in a timely manner in advance.
- Must have desire to learn and co-ordinate with Area Office, Factory, Sales and Marketing departments to handle tax-related issues.
- Any other requirement as required management time to time.
Requirements
- Age 25 to 45 years
- The applicants should have strategic-level experience in the field of Commercial (Export, Import & C&F).
- Shall possess basic experience in applying for and renewing company-related certificates and licenses.
- Ability to learn, team-player mindset, capable of working on own-initiative & under-pressure with absolute integrity & honesty.
- Proficient in MS-Word, Excel and Internet surfing.
- Good command of English; candidates with Chinese language proficiency is preferable.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Industrial Relations·
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)·
- Honors/Masters in any discipline.
