Requirements
Key Requirements
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
- Ability to identify medical conditions, assess clinical risks, and provide appropriate treatment and follow-up care.
- Experience in managing common medical emergencies and providing initial emergency care.
- Knowledge of geriatric medicine, age-related health conditions, and the healthcare needs of elderly residents.
- Ability to manage chronic diseases, particularly diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and other age-related conditions.
- Competence in reviewing medical histories, monitoring vital signs, interpreting relevant investigation reports, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Ability to prescribe medications appropriately and monitor treatment effectiveness while minimizing medication-related risks.
- Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention, and the maintenance of high standards of clinical care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, family members, caregivers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and coordinate patient care effectively.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, discipline, and professional ethics.
- Compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered approach to elderly care, ensuring the dignity, comfort, and well-being of residents.
- Ability to respond effectively to urgent medical situations and make timely clinical decisions.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including night duties, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the organization.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to applicable medical guidelines, institutional policies, and BMDC professional standards.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
