TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Job Context

We are an interior design house specializing in residential and commercial interior design and execution. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and technically competent professional to join our design team as an Technical Architect Expert.The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings, technical drawings, working drawings, and execution details based on approved interior designs. The role requires a strong understanding of construction methods, interior materials, joinery, furniture detailing, and site execution requirements to ensure that design concepts are translated into accurate, practical, and executable drawings.The ideal candidate should be capable of coordinating with interior designers, project engineers, and site execution teams to resolve technical issues, maintain drawing accuracy, and ensure that all interior works are executed according to the approved design, specifications, and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed interior construction drawings, technical drawings, and working drawings based on approved design concepts and layouts.
2. Develop detailed drawings for furniture, cabinetry, wardrobes, kitchen units, TV units, false ceilings, wall paneling, partitions, doors, and other interior elements.
3. Prepare detailed sections, elevations, enlarged details, and construction drawings with accurate dimensions, levels, material specifications, and installation instructions.
4. Develop joinery details, fabrication drawings, and material application details for custom-designed furniture and interior elements.
5. Prepare reflected ceiling plans, lighting layouts, electrical point layouts, and other relevant interior coordination drawings as required.
6. Ensure that all drawings are technically feasible, dimensionally accurate, and suitable for site execution and fabrication.
7. Coordinate with the interior design team to understand design intent and translate conceptual designs into practical construction details.
8. Coordinate with project engineers, MEP consultants, vendors, suppliers, and site execution teams to ensure technical accuracy and smooth project implementation.
9. Conduct site visits when required to verify site dimensions, existing conditions, and execution requirements before preparing or finalizing drawings.
10. Review site conditions and identify potential construction challenges, dimensional conflicts, and technical discrepancies before execution.
11. Revise and update drawings according to design changes, site conditions, client requirements, and technical feedback.
12. Ensure proper coordination between architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and interior design elements wherever applicable.
13. Prepare material details, hardware specifications, finishing schedules, and other technical documentation required for interior execution.
14. Provide technical support to the site team during project execution and clarify drawing-related issues to minimize errors and rework.
15. Maintain proper drawing documentation, revision control, and organized records of approved and issued-for-construction drawings.
16. Ensure that all technical drawings comply with approved designs, project specifications, applicable building requirements, and the company's quality standards.
