Job Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the overall purchasing and procurement activities of the company.
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier/vendor network.
- Source raw materials, machinery, spare parts, packaging materials and other required items.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Compare quotations and conduct cost analysis to ensure competitive purchasing.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement and delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance, product quality and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with Production, Commercial, Accounts, Store and Management departments.
- Maintain proper purchase records, supplier databases and procurement documentation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Handle local and international procurement whenever required.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approved budgets.
Requirements
- 07–10 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in manufacturing, packaging or industrial procurement will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of local and international sourcing.
- Strong analytical and cost-control ability.
- Good command of MS Office and procurement documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination and decision-making skills.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management, Management, Finance
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain Management, Management, Finance
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, Finance or a relevant discipline.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain/Procurement will be an advantage.
Experience
- 7 to 10 years
