Head of Financial Planning, Analysis and Business Finance

Mercantile Bank PLC., is a leading private commercial bank in Bangladesh, committed to sustainable growth, financial excellence and customer-centric banking services.We are looking for a smart, analytical and tech-savvy finance professional to lead the Financial Planning, Analysis and Business Finance Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Bank, contributing to financial analytics, management reporting, business performance monitoring and strategic decision-making.This role is ideal for a professional who can combine strong financial expertise, data analytics, Al-enabled tools, reporting excellence and effective presentation skills to support strategic decision-making at senior management level.Job Grade: Depending on qualifications & experiencesKey Responsibilities

• Work on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, profitability analysis and financial modelling.
• Analyze financial and business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and improvement areas.
• Develop projections for deposits, loans-advances, investments, net interest income, non-interest income, operating expenses and profitability.
• Capital planning and regulatory financial analysis.
• Work with the CFO to prepare the Bank's annual operating plan, budget and medium-term financial projections in alignment with the Bank's strategy.
• Support the CFO in financial analytics, management reporting and business performance review.
• Prepare insightful dashboards, reporting through automation, appropriate business intelligence tools and presentations for senior management and Board-level discussions.
• Use modern tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI or similar platforms and Al-enabled productivity tools for analytics and reporting.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to collect, validate and present data in a clear and structured manner.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in banks/financial institutions, out of which at least 05 years in the role of Finance & Accounting.
• Candidates should have practical knowledge and relevant competency in the following areas:
• Practical working experiences in Temenos or reputed global software will get preference.
• Strong command over Excel, PowerPoint, financial modelling, data analysis and dashboard preparation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Bengali and English.
• Hands-on exposure to Al tools, Power BI, automation tools or modern analytics platforms will be preferred.
• Excellent analytical ability and strong banking business understanding.

• Master Degree preferably in Finance, Accounting Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or MBM or any related discipline from a recognized university.
• CA/ACCA/CMA/CFA or partly qualifications will be preferred.
• An Income Tax Practitioner (ITP) certificate will also be considered an added advantage.
• Advance level application knowledge/ experience of MS excel or Power BI or other Business Analytic tools.

• At least 10 years
